After my initial interview with Stingy Jack Director / Co-writer Todd Langseth on 8th May 2009, i received some updates for the film on 20th February 2010.

Todd:

Stingy Jack is currently in a “reformatting stage” while we rewrite the draft and get things going in an entirely new direction, concept/story wise.

We’ve had such amazingly positive feedback on prior drafts, that we decided to take things even further, to ensure even more of a successful production.

I’ve recently asked award winning writer/director William Malone (House On Haunted Hill, FearDot Com, Masters Of Horror, Universal Soldier) to consider directing. This again is to ensure a definite win. Malone is awaiting the next draft of the script, which is being finalized as I write this response to you.

We’ve also taken on (finally) the young star of Michael Dougherty’s “TRICK R TREAT”, (Quinn Lord, the little demon-pumpkinheaded dude) to portray little Jack Wells, opposite Jason Priestley and Jennifer Rouse. I’ve been speaking with both Quinn’s parents as well as his agent, and from what I’m told, Quinn is pretty pumped about the production.

Things HAVE been moving forward, though I’ve been pretty much quiet about the details until now.

My agent (Judy Fox, also Michael Berryman and Bill Moseley’s agent) is now overseeing and handling all negotiations on my behalf. Better to have representation than go at it alone. Especially in film!

Our previous tentative start-date of April, is well….not gonna happen! We’re not upset about this though, as we’ve always wanted a genuine FALL shoot, so we’re aiming for Fall 2010 and this just gives us more time to prep and get into pre-prod.

Other than that, there’s not much else to report. For now.

Oh, I’m also looking at Ernie Hudson and Stephen McHattie for pinacle starring roles. This isn’t official, of course, but is being discussed.
