Saw is to make the Guinness World Records as the most successful horror franchise ever. Producer Mark Burg had this to say: “The fact that we beat out (such horror franchises as) ‘Friday the 13th,’ ‘Nightmare on Elm Street,’ ‘Halloween’ and ‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ is a testament to our cast, crew and our partners at Lionsgate.”
Saw, which started off in 2004 has spun 6 movies and this year will have spun 6 sequels. This october, Saw 7 will be in 3D, and will also be the final Saw movie.
Burgs statement on furthering the franchise: “We are done; this is it,” he said. “We don’t want to be that boxer who fought one too many fights.”

I think they already fought 1 too many fights. the first Saw was nice n fresh, and a few other were good but it starts leaving a bitter taste in your mouth now. I can sit and watch fri 13th or halloween franchises but Saw is the kinda stuff i only watch once or twice really. The suprise has gone with it now and im glad they feel theyve burnt it out, coz they have.
